[message]Description
At Bodegas Lacort, we have agreements with small Rioja vine growers; in some cases, collaborations that have lasted for more than 30 years, mainly in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. The vines, which the grapes used to produce our wines come from, are characterized by the calcareous-clay, ferrous-clay and alluvial soils, and a predominantly Atlantic climate. Our wines are produced with the classical Rioja grape varieties. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine naturally carries out the malolactic fermentation, which will transform the malic acid into lactic acid. Made from 70% Tempranillo, 20% Graciano and 10% Mazuelo from vineyards in the 3 sub-areas in Rioja with different soil types: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental, northward facing in the foothills of the Sierra de la Demanda.

Tasting Notes
Ruby red in color with russet hues. Complex in the nose, good intensity, balsamic, spicy, leathers, tobacco; all of this over a delightful candied fruit backdrop. A very enticing combination. In the mouth elegant, tasty, highly aromatic, voluptuous tannins still present in the classical style and lasting through the aftertaste.
Best Paired With
Roasted red meats, game, cured, intense and spicy cheeses.
