This Chardonnay has held the title of the number one selling Chardonnay in the USA for an impressive 26 years running. It originates from 12,800 acres of vineyards owned and operated by Jackson Family Wines in California's cool coastal regions. The grapes are delicately whole cluster pressed to preserve the fresh fruit qualities, avoiding any bitterness from stems and seeds. A significant portion, 95%, undergoes fermentation and aging in French and American oak barrels, imparting richness, toastiness, and complexity. Through sur lie aging with monthly lees stirring, this wine develops its signature velvety texture and creamy flavor.
