Description

Ichanka translates as "Water of the Condor" ("I" = water). The little hamlet of Ichanka, located on the Estate, was an important source of spring water to the indigenous Diaguitas. This secret water source was discovered courtesy of the Condors that would be seen hovering over the spring. The Diaguitas believed the Condor was the closest creature to divinity and was considered a messenger of the spirits. Our Vichigasta Vineyard wines are produced using only the best grapes from special plots within our vineyard. The grapes are hand-picked and carefuly transported to the winery in small bins to avoid premature crushing. Country: Argentina Type: Red Wine – Full ABV: 13.5%

Tasting Notes:

Dark ruby red in color, this wine shows ripe fruit characteristics of plum, blackberry and mulberry with hints of mocha and vanillin oak. The palate is silky smooth with juicy berry fruit balanced with soft and rounded tannins for an elegant long finish.
