Ichanka translates as "Water of the Condor" ("I" = water). The little hamlet of Ichanka, located on the Estate, was an important source of spring water to the indigenous Diaguitas. This secret water source was discovered courtesy of the Condors that would be seen hovering over the spring. The Diaguitas believed the Condor was the closest creature to divinity and was considered a messenger of the spirits. The Ichanka Oasis is a small lot production of the highest quality wine, produced only in the best vintages.

Tasting Notes
A delicious nose of blackberries herb liqueur with subtle notes of violets and lavender. Full-bodied with lots of red fruit supported by structured tannins and a well-balanced oak backbone. Chewy on the finish.
Best Paired With
You'll find Malbec a great match for steak, pork, and lamb, as well as fattier fish like salmon and poultry with dark meat. Game meat—like bison, ostrich, and venison—are also a safe bet. In addition to meat pairings, consider foods with richer sauces or more vibrant flavors.
